Holy Moly 2021 (Petit Verdot)
Colour: Deep Purple.
Nose: A brooding nose of crushed violet and lilac, cured meat, blueberry, and ripe plum.
Palate: Rich attack with dark berries, ripe plum, and leather carrying into the mid-palate with the big tannin structure and a savoury, floral character taking over. Tannins are ripe and rounded, with a wonderfully fine grain. The acidity keeps everything in check through the finish with the fruit and savoury notes lingering along with the tannin and acid. Petit Verdot yields a big wine, but also a wine with elegance and focus.
Cross To Bear 2018 (Cabernet Franc)
Colour: Garnet red with a ruby rim.
Nose: Intense, classic bramble berry with chocolate and coffee notes and true to the varietal, an underlying herbaceous character.
Palate: Great richness and texture on the attack with raspberry, strawberry, and plum followed by earthy, leathery notes on the mid-palate. Fine grained tannins offer a well balanced finish.
Nothing Sacred 2018 (Meritage Blend)
Colour: Deep garnet.
Nose: Ripe nose of plum, cassis, dark berry, leather, mint, and cedar.
Palate: Plum, dark cherry, and red berries lead the attack with the fine-grained tannin building through the mid-palate and carrying through into the persistent finish. The wine is beautifully balanced with a terrific texture and a well integrated oak profile.
